Rainbow Beach
The coloured sand cliffs give the town its name. The Carlo Sand Blow — a large drifting dune above the beach — is reached by a short walking track and delivers a genuinely striking outlook over the Coral Sea and the Cooloola coast.
Inskip Point
North of the town, Inskip Point is the southern barge crossing to K'gari. It suits groups coming up from the Sunshine Coast, and it is an alternative to the River Heads route from Hervey Bay.
Tin Can Bay
Tin Can Bay is known for its morning wild dolphin feeding, which operates under supervision at a set early time. It is genuinely early, so a charter is the practical way to get a group there without a convoy of cars.

It is reached by a walking track on sand, which does not suit everyone. Tell us about mobility in the group and we will plan an alternative viewpoint if needed.
Can you drop us at Inskip Point for the barge?
