Which size vehicle do you actually need?
Seat count is the obvious question. Access and luggage are the ones that decide it.
Start with seats, then ignore them
Seat count gives you a shortlist, not an answer. Two other factors regularly override it: whether the vehicle can physically reach your pick-up point, and whether the luggage fits.
The three classes

When two smaller beats one bigger
If your pick-up is a narrow beachfront street, a caravan park with a tight driveway, or a school loop that was designed for cars, two midi coaches will often work where one full-size coach cannot. It is not always more expensive, and it is always better than a coach that cannot get to the door.
When luggage decides
Airport transfers, sporting groups and music tours are luggage-led. Twenty passengers with checked bags need more vehicle than twenty passengers with day packs. Tell us what is travelling — being vague here is the most common cause of an undersized vehicle.
Cost per head
Bigger vehicles usually cost more per hour and less per head — but only if you fill them. A 57-seat coach carrying twenty-six people is worse value than a midi coach carrying twenty-six. If you are on a boundary, ask us to price both; we would rather quote twice than get it wrong.
Long distance
For long-haul runs to Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, comfort matters more than it does on a thirty-minute hop. Reclining seats, underfloor luggage and a smoother ride are worth something over three or four hours.
Ask yourself
- Can the vehicle physically reach the pick-up?
- What is the real head count, including adults?
- How much luggage or gear is travelling?
- How long is the journey?
- Would two smaller vehicles work better?

How many people fit on a charter bus?
Broadly: a minibus 12–21, a midi coach 24–33, a full-size coach 45–57. Exact seat counts vary by vehicle and are confirmed on your quote.
Is one big coach cheaper than two small ones?
Per hour, usually. Per head, only if you fill it. Ask us to price both if you are on the boundary.
What if the coach cannot reach our pick-up?
We will tell you at quote stage and offer an alternative — a nearby set-down point, or smaller vehicles. That is exactly why we ask for the exact address.
